Story
Each year, Cumulus takes part in a sportive event and takes advantage of this to fundraise for a charity promoting mental health awareness and supporting people affected by psychiatric and/or neurodegenerative disorders. This year we have decided to raise money for the Jigsaw foundation, which focuses on supporting young people’s mental health and making mental health services more accessible to children. Their aim is to help create a society where every young person’s mental health will be valued and supported. Jigsaw is the only primary care youth mental health service provider in Ireland for young people aged 12-25.
Since the pandemic, referrals to community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Ireland has increased by 26% and a worrying increase in eating disorders has been observed [1] .
This year Cumulus will take part in the Hillsborough Castle Run on Sunday 30th July 2023 to support Jigsaw’s mission. 16 of our staff have already agreed to put their runners on and run 5k or 10k to help fundraising for this cause. We would be eternally grateful if you were to support us in this fundraising effort.
