Story
This June, my mam is celebrating a very special milestone — her 50th birthday. To mark the occasion, I decided to surprise her with a skydive which we’ve talked about doing together over the years.
As most of you know, my younger sister Shannon has Down’s Syndrome and severe learning difficulties. This makes it very difficult for her to socialise and make friends.
For the past few years, Shan has been attending a dance group supported by an amazing charity called DayTrippers. DayTrippers is a local charity that organises events, activities, and days out for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. They provide a safe, welcoming space where individuals like Shannon — and their families — can connect with others in similar situations, build confidence, and make friends.
For this reason, we’ll be making the jump not just to celebrate my lovely Mam, but to also raise money for DayTrippers, so they can continue the fantastic work they do for families like ours.
Any donation, big or small, would be massively appreciated and will go directly towards helping the charity continue providing these opportunities.
Thankyou!!!!
