Story
This year Centerview is supporting New Horizon Youth Centre.
NHYC provides support for young Londoners experiencing homelessness with a range of services.
In England, there are now 139,000, or 1 in 85, children in temporary accommodation – in London this number is 1 in 50.
Through its King's Cross day centre, outreach program and remote services NHYC aims to help young Londoners aged 16-24 overcome a range of obstacles to solve their struggles with homelessness permanently. They provide a range of expert support systems across housing, health, safety, life skills and jobs, education & training as well as campaigning and lobbying to change the wider system.
With the number of daily visits to the centre up from 40-50 to ~70 today, this is a critical time to support NHYC and the young people who depend on them.
Over the Christmas period, NHYC strives to offer gifts, festive food and treats to the young people they care for as well as continuing to provide essentials such as clothes, food and emergency accommodation during one of the coldest and most isolating parts of the year.
We hope you are all able to contribute generously and support this important cause. Please also remember to complete the Gift Aid portion of the donation form to ensure contributions are maximised.
