Charity Cycle Ride · 5 July 2026

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

A little over 18 months ago, Dominic achieved something incredible. After bravely battling a brain tumour, he walked through the doors of Blackpool Victoria Hospital and rang the bell, surrounded by family and friends—a moment no one will ever forget.

What better way to celebrate than by getting his football boots back on and returning to what he loves most. Back with St Annes Purples U12s, Dominic thrived. He was loving life on the pitch again, playing alongside his mates and his brother Rex. He later joined CN Sports Panthers U12s for even more football, making up for lost time and doing what he does best.

Everything was going so well—on and off the pitch—until life dealt Dominic another cruel blow.

He received the devastating news that his cancer had returned, and he would have to begin the fight all over again.

Right now, Dominic is undergoing treatment and showing incredible strength every single day. He truly is a warrior. Everyone at CN Sports and St Annes Football Club stands firmly behind him.

We wanted to do something to show our support—not just for Dominic, but to help make a difference. So, we’re coming together to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, whose vital research is helping Dominic and so many others in their fight.

To do this, the teams will be taking on a charity cycle ride along the Fylde Coast, visiting local football stadiums along the way:

* Highbury Stadium (Fleetwood Town)

* Bloomfield Road (Blackpool FC)

* Mill Farm (AFC Fylde)

* Deepdale (Preston North End)

*

The ride will cover 37 miles, finishing at Deepdale—the perfect ending, as Dominic is a proud Preston North End supporter.

We are all with you, Dominic. Keep fighting. We can’t wait to see you back where you belong—on the pitch.
