AtaLoss provides the UK's bereavement support signposting website ataloss.org. We also facilitate the award-winning community bereavement support programme The Bereavement Journey®. We seek to change the culture of bereavement and approach to it's care nationwide through advocacy and campaigning.

Story

On 13th September 2026, we'll be taking on the challenge of cycling from London to Brighton. It's a tough ride, but every mile has a purpose.

We're riding in support of Ataloss, a charity that helps people find hope, support, and understanding after bereavement. Grief touches every family in different ways, and no one should have to face it alone.

This ride is especially meaningful because each of us is cycling in memory of someone we have loved and lost. Every rider has a different story, a different face in their heart, and a different reason for getting on the bike. A number of us are riding in memory of our dear friend Lizzie Udy who fought cancer so incredibly bravely and with such resilience in the face of everything that was thrown at her. She was a total example to us all and is so greatly missed. One of our riders, Alice is riding in memory of Simon Tomlinson, another wonderful man who's memory lives on. Together, we're united by love, remembrance, and the belief that support should be available to anyone navigating the pain of loss.

As we climb the hills and push through the miles, we'll be thinking of those who can no longer ride beside us, but whose memories continue to inspire us every day.

If you're able to support us, no matter how big or small the donation, you'll be helping Ataloss continue its vital work, providing compassionate bereavement support to people when they need it most.

Please help us turn our memories into something positive for others.
