The InfraRed Charitable Foundation - Cycle across Wales

Antonia Lufkin is raising money for The InfraRed Charitable Foundation

Cycle across Wales · 5 July 2025

The InfraRed Charitable Foundation was set up for the purposes of promoting social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming Socially Excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are Socially Excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.

Story

A team of individuals (Stewart Orrell, Richard Crawford, Niall O’Toole, Neil Woodburn, Jo Beswetherick, Antonia Lufkin, and James Ormond) from InfraRed Capital Partners are cycling the length of Wales on 5th - 6th July to fundraise for The InfraRed Charitable Foundation. This will involve cycling from Conwy Schools in the north of Wales to Newport School in the south of Wales, both assets held within the HICL portfolio and managed by InfraRed Capital Partners. This route covers around 300km with 4,500m of elevation over two days! We would greatly appreciate any contribution you can make to support this cause.

The funds raised will support the InfraRed Charitable Foundation's current grant-making activities, which aim to address gaps in the UK's educational structures by focusing on secondary schools around London in areas of high deprivation. The Foundation provides funding to support the deployment of dedicated Community Engagement Leads who play a crucial role in assisting teaching staff, building trust with parents, and connecting students with local community resources. To date, the Charity have funded two Community Engagement Leads at schools in London and are identifying further opportunities.
