Morgan Sindall Project teams from both Crawley Innovation and Preston Circus Fire Station, headed by James Ramsden are embarking on an exciting journey on Saturday, 11th May, as they participate in the Surrey Hills Classic, a cycling Sportive. With a team of 15 riders, including our very own Managing Director Sean Bradley and our Senior Leadership team of James Sands, Rob Atkinson and Steve Sear, along with representatives from our client, Crawley Borough Council, we're gearing up for an unforgettable challenge.
The course promises a mix of challenging distances, ranging from 50km to the more demanding 123km ride. It's inspiring to see such a diverse group of riders tackling this adventure, each with their own personal goals and motivations. The route itself offers a unique opportunity to traverse part of the iconic 2012 Olympic route, complete with Surrey's own version of Col du Tourmalet, including both Box Hill and Leith Hill.
As we embark on this journey, we're also proud to ride in support of the Firefighters Charity. With the work we're undertaking at Preston Circus Fire Station this year and witnessing the dedication of our firefighters, it's only fitting that we extend our support to this very worthy cause. The Firefighters Charity provides invaluable assistance to both current and former members of the fire service and their families, offering crucial support during times of need. A very worthy cause which in more recent years we have undoubtedly seen via social media the bravery and selflessness of firefighters in various communities across the UK.
