Story
If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be running the London Marathon, I would have laughed (probably while sitting comfortably on my couch). Yet, here we are. 26.2 miles stand between me and what will likely be the most physically painful achievement of my life.
I wanted to use this challenge to support a cause that means a lot to me.
I’m running for ANBU UK, a completely volunteer led grassroots organisation providing support to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I had the privilege of volunteering with them, and I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference they make. This is a charity where every donation, no matter the size, goes directly to helping survivors get the support, community, and resources they need.
So, while I can’t promise a record breaking finish time, I can promise that your support will go toward something truly meaningful. If you can donate, that would be incredible. If not, moral support, kind words, and sending good vibes for race day are equally appreciated!
Thank you for reading, supporting, and (probably) questioning my life choices. Wish me luck. I’ll need it!
