Dee’s fundraiser for The Princess Alexandra Hospital Charity

Climbing Kilimanjaro 2025 · 29 January 2025
On the 29th January 2025 I leave the UK to head to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa with an evaluation of 5,895m (19,341ft).
How I became involved in this challenge is due to my friend Kay Harvey, who is a breast cancer survivor. Kay and her partner Ray Hall have raised over £80,000 for the Breast Cancer Charity to help the local hospital's, Princess Alexandra - Harlow and St Margaret’s - Epping.
Sadly in March Ray passed away unexpectedly from a rare form of lymphoma leaving many people heartbroken. Ray and Kay had signed up to complete the climb in January, sadly this is one journey he will not be able to make.
Therefore, I will be doing the climb with Kay in the honour of my friend Ray that I had known for many years. This is an amazing charity that has helped so many people and will continue to do so with the help from us. 💛💛
