Christmas 2022 is going to be a very challenging time for many families. In support of this, the D4t4 Christmas Appeal will benefit two local charities that have teamed up to ensure that Children have a gift to open on Christmas Day.

This is a special appeal as the Walton Charity will match all donations £ for £ so together we can make double the difference!

The Walton Charity work with Santa Stork to provide Gifts to local children who would otherwise have nothing to open on Christmas morning.

How it works

Choice: A catalogue of gifts means that parents can choose a gift their child will really like, something which reflects their unique personality and interests. This is often the gift the child receives so it needs to be something they will really love.

Dignity: Wrapping paper, Sellotape and gift tags are also supplied at the pick-up-points, along with festive music and a mince pie, so parents/carers can enjoy the atmosphere and wrap the gifts for their children. This started because of COVID-19 restrictions but feedback from families was that they loved being involved in the process in this way.

It’s going to be a challenging Christmas for all of us but please support and help make this a Christmas to remember for children of struggling families in the area.
