Hello I know I don't post a lot, but this has been on my heart for a bit. If you didn't know, I am a father to two wonderful boys; both diagnosed with autism at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Thaddaeus, my oldest, is the smartest and sweetest kid, everyone keeps telling me he has a heart of gold. That wasn't by me; but by the God he trusts in, but he worries about the small things. Delbert, my youngest, has things to say but still can't say full sentences and deals with big emotions and how to express them in normal society.

I'm saying this to say Easterseals Midwest has been a part of their lives as long as they could be. Helping them interact with others like them and being treated like the little kids they are. Easterseals also help adults and bring people together as one. That's why I'm doing a 24 hour stream to raise money for this wonderful group and their mission. Easterseals provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Their family navigators support families by creating an individualized plan that will allow their child to live a full, engaging life in the community. Easterseals also offers wonderful ways to get involved in the community. Their sensory-friendly family events provide individuals with sensory-processing needs an opportunity to experience local attractions and group events that typically may be found prohibitive due to lack of public awareness around developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
