Story

In November 2024, we sadly lost our beloved dad after a short battle with small cell prostate cancer. In the final stages of his journey, he required 24-hour care. During our most challenging moments, the incredible team at Marie Curie stepped in, providing overnight support and giving us the chance to rest.

It wasn’t until we needed them that I truly understood the vital role Marie Curie plays in helping families through such difficult times. That’s why I’ve decided to run the Hackney Half Marathon to raise as much as I can for this amazing organisation.

Marie Curie is there for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, they’re with you to the end. Bringing 75 years of experience and leading research to the care they give you at home, in hospices and over the phone. They push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
