Story

Back in January 2024 my daughter, Bella suffered serious burns that required a couple of surgeries and left her with injuries that will be with her for the rest of her life.

Without Childrens Burns Trust we wouldn't be in the place we are in today. They are simply incredible and work without rest to not only raise awareness on how burn injuries can be prevented, they also support families come to terms with what has happened and provide on going support, I know I speak on behalf of many families when I say I will always be in awe and grateful for the team at CBT.

I wanted to do something to raise money and awareness for Childrens Burns Trust and managed to convince (it wasn't hard) my two best mates to be involved.

On the day Bella was burnt, we had to drive from our house in Exeter to Derriford hospital in Plymouth, it was one of the worst journeys I have ever taken, being in my own head about my ability as a parent and what happens next for Bella, so it seems fitting to turn this journey into more of positive.

So me, Kit and Dan will be walking from Exeter to Derriford Hospital a total of 45 miles, across Dartmoor in 2 days! To add to challenge we will each have a 10kg backpack on, which is around the weight Bella was when the burn happened

Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
