In support of De Montfort University, the Development and Alumni engagement team is embarking on a remarkable journey.

On the 6th of July 2024, 10 of our determined colleagues will take on the SNOWDON SUNSET TREK, ascending Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in the late afternoon to experience a breath-taking dusk descend across the vast Snowdonian landscape.

This journey is not just about conquering a peak; it's about conquering barriers to education. This trek presents a great challenge as they aim to reach the highest peak in Wales, standing on the mighty Snowdon at 1085m.

Their mission is clear: to raise £1,000 for The Opportunities Fund, benefiting DMU Create and DMU Sport. These funds are essential in providing much-needed resources for students, from covering travel and accommodation for internships and placements to ensuring access to sports gear and equipment.

The Opportunities Fund plays a pivotal role in enhancing student experiences, shaping their character, fostering personal growth, and instilling lifelong values. Whether it's creating connections through internships or building lasting friendships on the sports field, these experiences are invaluable parts of the university journey. Something that should be considered a standard experience when attending university can present a financial worry and concern for many of our students.

By sponsoring the Development and Alumni Engagement Team, you're not just supporting a trek; you're making a tangible difference in the lives of our students, helping them unlock their full potential and paving the way for a brighter future. Let's join forces to make a lasting impact on the journey towards educational equality.
