London Marathon MyWay 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

We support women, children and young people affected by all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation and raise public awareness of its damaging effects. We recognise that these are acts of violence, involving the abuse of power and control, a breach of human rights and are routed in gender inequality.

Story

During my time studying Community Education at the University of Dundee I had to go on placements each year. I was very lucky to be placed at Dundee Women’s Hub, the sister agency of WRASAC, for my 3rd year placement and requested to return for my 4th year internship. Dundee Women's Hub is a multi-agency support hub for Women impacted by substance use and other disadvantages such as gender-based violence, homelessness, poor mental health, isolation and trauma.

Gendered services are absolutely crucial. They recognise and address the distinct experiences, needs and challenges that women face. The hub is a space where women can receive holistic support, information and resources without the fear of judgement, discrimination or violence.

All money raised will be going directly back into supporting the women who access Dundee Women’s Hub 💜

My brother, Laurie and I will be walking the London Marathon around Aberdeen on Sunday the 27th of April.
