We are going back!!

After an amazing trip last year i’m very excited to say in June 2026 I will be setting off to Uganda with Dentaid to help in delivering dental care to rural communities. This time we will be going to the northern regions on the country which has never been accessed by any dental charities, last time we treated over 1500 people whilst we were there and looking to help even more this time. 70% of the worlds population have little to no access to dental care, and i’m joining a cause that have set out to change that!

As a dental hygienist i will be helping provide life changing treatments and education to communities in Uganda that have no other access to dental care. This will get people out of pain and give them the tools and resources to improve their oral health and prevent future dental issues. We will be working alongside outreach clinics, orphanages and remote teaching centres in portable dental surgeries

Dentaid The Dental Charity provides dental care and oral health advice for vulnerable adults and children from under-served communities. Their fully equipped mobile dental units travel the UK, providing outreach dental clinics for people who struggle or have no access to an NHS dentist.

Overseas, Dentaid supports its dental partners by providing portable equipment, funding outreach projects and supporting oral health programmes in communities where access to dental care very limited.
