Story
This year marks 5 years since we lost my Dad to Multiple Systems Atrophy. You'd think after this amount of time my grief would've gone and life would've moved on, but it hasn't, if anything it's got harder because I'm another day since the last time I saw him or heard his voice.
In his memory, myself, Sam, Jalé and a Ken are running the London Landmarks Half on the 6th of April for Lewis-Manning Hospice. As a family we had the privilege of being supported by this charity. It costs more than £3.4 million a year for Lewis Manning to provide the service they do and your support is vital to the future of the hospice.
Lewis Manning Hospice supported Dad when he started getting poorly towards the end of his life. They offered him respite care, counselling and ultimately supported him to try and accept and understand his diagnosis. Dad always came home from these days so much happier and more relaxed. After Dad passed away, as a family we were supported by Lewis Manning and their family support and bereavement services. Their work and support was incredible, they were able to hold our hand through the process and support us.
I know that every penny raised will help create a brighter, positive future for sufferers, their loved ones and carers. All donations are hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness and reading our story. This is all for you Dad, I hope you're proud ♥️
