Story
Last year, our lives changed in an instant when my daughter, Darcy, suffered a severe anaphylactic reaction to nuts. We had no idea she had such a life-threatening allergy until she was rushed to hospital, where she required resuscitation, two adrenaline injections, and was admitted to the High Dependency Unit. It was one of the most frightening experiences our family has ever faced. Thankfully, thanks to the incredible team at Bristol Children’s Hospital, Darcy made a full recovery.
Since then, Darcy has shown incredible bravery and maturity. She takes the initiative to manage her allergies, understands the importance of staying safe, and never hesitates to speak up if she’s unsure about food. This autumn, myself and Darcy will be taking on the 100km Walk Your Way Challenge alongside me to raise vital funds for Allergy UK. Together, we’re walking to raise awareness of life-threatening allergies, support other families facing similar challenges, and help Allergy UK continue their amazing work. Every donation, no matter how big or small, means the world to us and will help make a real difference. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
