Story

Thank you for visiting my page! In 2024, I aim to complete the London Marathon in support of the British Heart Foundation, dedicated to my amazing Grandad, Poppa.

The British Heart Foundation are dedicated to fighting heart and circulatory diseases. They fund research, support patients, raise awareness and provide life-saving equipment. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It is with the help from people like us that the BHF can fund new treatments and discover new cures! £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, every pound helps!

The charity is important to me as Poppa passed away unexpectedly due to a cardiac arrest in September 2021.

From a young age, heart attacks have been a source of anxiety for me. Discussions, glamorised TV shows and school lessons about them heightened my fears. During lockdown, my fear of heart-related issues heightened and I am determined to contribute my efforts to create a positive change.
