I’m taking on an epic challenge in support of Action Medical Research, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to saving and transforming children’s lives through groundbreaking medical research. For over 65 years, they’ve been behind major medical breakthroughs – from helping beat polio in the UK to developing ultrasound scanning, fighting meningitis, and preventing stillbirths. But there’s still so much more to do.

That’s where we come in.

Here’s what we’ve signed up for (send help):

• A 22-mile bike ride with nearly 3,000 feet of climbing (that’s basically Everest, right?)

• A 5.5-mile hike up the Old Man of Coniston – named after how we’ll probably feel afterwards

• And if our legs haven’t fallen off by then, a kayak around Coniston Water to finish it off in style (or with a dramatic capsize – who knows?)

It’s going to be tough, sweaty, and probably involve a few questionable decisions – but it’s all for an incredible cause: helping fund vital new treatments and cures for sick babies and children.
