So in 2009 I completed the London Marathon and a few weeks later shattered my knee, with the advice from surgeons not to run competitively again. Well guess what, a couple of stone a few years (less) wiser, I am doing it again, this time in memory of my beautiful Mum and Dad and Uncle Brian Hitchon, who are sadly no longer with us, but live on in everything I do. I am doing this for every friend and family member lost to this terrible disease, I a doing this because I still can and if it changes one persons life for the better, then it is job done, to my friends who recently left us, Danny Joyce and Trevor Weston, god bless and RIP.
