Story
Hi Everyone
We’re raising money for Teesside Hospice in memory of my Dad, Dale Scollay.
He recently died of cancer and spent the final few weeks of his life in the care of Teesside Hospice.
The staff and the service provided at the hospice were incredible. They did everything from stabilising his treatment so he felt as good as he possibly could through to giving personal care so he could live his final weeks with independence and dignity, which he greatly appreciated.
They also cared for us as a family, making sure the time he spent with his wife, Carole, and the wider family could be spent making the most of each day and focusing on creating those final few memories which will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
We’ve set up this just giving page as an alternative to sending flowers to the funeral in the hope that anyone who feels the need to do something in his memory can do something practical to make sure other patients and families can be supported with the compassion we received.
