Story
I'm cycling from London to Paris to raise money for my friend's son, Beau, who has 15q duplication syndrome, a condition that's still not fully understood, with symptoms that vary widely in severity.
Beau faces significant physical and developmental challenges. Muscle development affects everything from movement to digestion, swallowing, hearing and vision. He was late to hit every milestone, but walked at 3, well ahead of what doctors expected, and we couldn't be prouder of him. He also lives with epilepsy, is non-verbal, and at nearly 5 years old his developmental age is around 12–18 months.
Watching a family go through this is truly humbling. But the thing that stays with you is that despite everything, Beau is loved and he is happy and that says everything about the incredible family rallying around him.
Every mile I ride is for Beau. I'd love your support ❤️
