My amazing friend has early onset dementia. That doesn’t mean he’s just been diagnosed it means he’s just too damn young. I struggle seeing the impact it has on him and his family as day by day he slowly degenerates. I try to be there for him as much as I can but I know it’s not enough. The strain and emotional trauma for his amazing wife destroys me. The plans they shared are now concluded not on hold or to do another day. It’s a reality nobody wants to happen but their living hell.

Dementia uk are running a fundraiser at the moment to walk 30 miles in September.

I’m doing my own twist and YOU can help without spending a penny (you can donate if you wish of course) but I will donate it for you. I do this as I know it’s hard to donate to everyone & everything.

So, the twist is this. I will walk, cycle or run an extra mile for every like, comment & share I get. The more likes, comments & shares the more miles.

I will keep you updated and when it’s all done I will make the donation in my mates name.
