Family 20 mile walk from Southport to Wigan · 29 June 2024

Our aim is to support patients, friends and family that have been affected by lung cancer and we have a large variety of regulars who attend monthly get togethers. Our mission is to help anyone in need and to also fund vital research to help future diagnosed people. We would also love to help set up others groups within the southeast.

Story

In Memory of Dorothy Fletcher

On Wednesday 12th June 2024 we lost our Sister, Auntie, Mother, Grandmother and Friend Dorothy Fletcher to Lung Cancer. She was only 70.

Dorothy was diagnosed with this indiscriminate disease less than 4 weeks before she was cruelly taken from us all. By the time of her diagnosis it had spread to her spine leading to the last few weeks of her life being restrictive, uncomfortable and extremely painful.

Only a few years earlier Dorothy lost her Husband, Mike, also to cancer.

Dorothy was an extraordinary lady who gave up much of her time to her local community in Stockport, fundraising and volunteering her time to many worth while causes.

On the 29th June our family including Brothers, Sisters, Nephews and Nieces of all ages will be embarking on a 20 mile walk from Southport to Wigan to honor our beloved Dorothy as well as raise money for this amazing charity.

We would be very grateful of your support.

We Love you Dorothy xxxx

We believe that through shared stories, information, and collective strength, we can inspire hope, foster resilience, and improve the quality of life for all those touched by this disease.
