I am currently an inpatient at The East Lancashire Hospice for palliative care and occupational therapy while they make adjustments to my home to ensure I can return there safely. This is due to my very rare type of cancer and how it is now affecting my body, I have MSCC of the T8 vertebrae of the spine and it is crushing my spinal cord 75% and in turn this has led to paralysis of my my legs and my abdomen region. While I have been here the care has been second to none and I feel that something has to be given back because of how intimate and caring all the staff are to everyone’s needs so I feel this charity is something very close to my heart, especially now I’ve been on the receiving end of this wonderful place and I’d love to be able to reach my target to give something back to ensure that they can carry on doing amazing work to help other people who need access to the services they provide.
