Walk from Penzance to Lands End · 14 August 2024

RNLI Exmouth Lifeboat Station
Campaign by RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RCN Eng/Wal 209603,SC037736,ROI20003326,IOM1308,Jer14)
The Exmouth Lifeboat Station was established in 1803, today its volunteers operate a 24-hour search and rescue service along the south coast of Devon. To do this they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern station to launch from.

Story

*UPDATE*

Due to the current inclement weather in Cornwall I have unfortunately had to postpone the walk I had planned for 20th July, the route will be very slippy and rocky so I had to think of the safety aspect for myself.

I have set a new date of 14th August. A big thank you to all who have donated so far, your donations are secure for the walk on the new date. I have some cash donations to add, and if there is anyone who wishes to donate who has not already done so it would be much appreciated

Exmouth lifeboat station was established in 1803 and has served the community for over 220 years.

The volunteer lifeboat crew provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year, but none of this would be possible without the support of the public and their donations. It costs in the region of £250k a year to run and maintain the service in Exmouth, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.

Your donation will help to fund the selfless work of our volunteer lifeboat crew in Exmouth, by doing so you will be helping to save lives around our coast and will be providing the best equipment possible to ensure the safety of our volunteers.

I am undertaking the walk not only to raise funds for the Exmouth Lifeboat Station but in memory of a very close friend
