Story
On 3rd May, along with some friends, I will be jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet! 🪂
Myself and Alex Roberts, Tom Harris, Vicky Roberts and Laura Stanton will be skydiving to raise money for Ataxia UK! This charity is very close to me and I would love to reach our fundraising target.
A life-changing diagnosis
In my late teens, I started getting some strange symptoms. I became unsteady on my feet and started finding it hard to do anything fiddly. After a year of tests and hospital appointments, while my mobility was getting worse, I was diagnosed with a condition I’d never heard of… Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). I was nineteen and my life as I knew it changed.
FA is a rare, degenerative neurological condition with no cure. By 25 I was using a wheelchair. But over the years, I’ve had a lot of support, including from the charity Ataxia UK. As well as providing individual support to people with ataxia, the charity are working tirelessly to help find a cure or even a treatment for FA by funding research and working with medical teams and drug companies.
Please donate any amount you can!
So Tom, Alex, Laura, Vicky and I all hope you can sponsor us to do this slightly insane sky dive and help us raise some funds for this amazing little charity.
Thank you!
