The Turner Syndrome Support Society is a national charity caring for the needs of those with Turner syndrome throughout the UK, offering support and information to girls and adult women with TS, their families and friends. The Society also enjoys a good relationship with medical and other specialists to promote a good basis for education and uderstanding of the management of TS.

Story

The Turner Syndrome Support Society is a charity that is very close to my heart. I hadn't heard of Turner Syndrome before our daughter's diagnosis and since then I've seen first-hand the amazing work this charity does for people up and down the country.

Turner Syndrome is a rare, female only condition, impacting just 1 in 2,500. It is a random event that leads to the partial or complete absence of an X chromosome that has medical implications that can vary in severity and require ongoing management.

Over the last year and a half it has been a great privilege to meet people with Turner Syndrome and to see first-hand the amazing work the charity does to support those living with the condition and their families.

Together with Luke Mason, a great friend from the Army, I will be running The Wall ultra marathon on 15 June 24, a distance of 70 miles (113km), to raise awareness and much needed funds for this remarkable charity that has supported my family and others so well.

I am extremely grateful for any donations...they will be going to a fantastic cause.

Thank you very much.
