Story

My name is Dan and I have been at National Star College for nearly 4 years. When I first started college I really struggled to settle and my anxiety was bad, it was the first time I lived away from home. I was extremely homesick. With the help of the amazing staff at National Star I’ve made amazing progress. I went to BETT ( British Educational Technology Show) in London with my friends twice and presented. I went skiing with my friends.

I am more independent at college to being escorted to session to going to sessions on my own.

I enjoy doing sessions such as gardening, swimming, sports, computers.

I’m doing a triathlon to raise money for National Star because I want to help others to enjoy there time and achieve their goals.

Since I started to train for the triathlon I started to feel more healthy and less tired. This has made a big difference to my life.

Over this term I will be covering the distance of a sprint Triathlon. I will be doing this using my trike, walker and in the pool at National Star.
