Story
Hi everyone,
On September 14th, Iāll be taking on the London to Brighton bike ride - a 55-mile challenge thatās completely outside my comfort zone. I havenāt ridden a bike in over 15 years, and Iāve never attempted anything remotely like this before⦠but Iāve started training and Iām determined to make it to over Ditchling Beacon without stopping and into Brighton on two wheels!
Iām doing this to raise money for MĆ©decins Sans FrontiĆØres (Doctors Without Borders), an organisation that provides urgent medical care to people affected by conflict, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare around the world.
Right now, MSF are carrying out critical, lifesaving work in Gaza, where communities are suffering the devastating consequences of ongoing violence. Their teams are treating the wounded, providing maternal care, running mobile clinics, and supporting overwhelmed hospitalsāoften under extreme conditions.
Your support will help MSF continue their vital work in Gaza and other crisis zones across the globe. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
You can read more about their work here
Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragementāit means the world to me as I tackle this challenge one pedal stroke at a time.
Letās do something amazing together.
- £21 can help pay for masks to resuscitate three newborn babies.
- £43 could pay for a blood pressure monitor to help detect underlying health issues
- £95 could provide antiretroviral drugs for a year for one person living with HIV/AIDS.
- £153 could buy a basic surgical kit, enabling an MSF surgeon to carry out surgery.
- £350 could pay for an emergency doctor to provide life-saving care for nearly a week.
