Dan's fundraiser for Sue Ryder

6 different events across 2025
It's been 10 years since our mum passed away and it's about time I did something to raise some money for Sue Ryder and give something back. All of the staff were a great support for her towards the end of her life and this is the least I can do to say thank you.
Across 2025 I am going to attempt 6 different events, all around things or places we used to do and go with our mum. I've updated some of the details, dates and locations for the events we're hoping to do this year:
24 hour Mario Kart party - completed in February
12 hour mini golf tournament - completed in April at Mr Mulligan's in Cheltenham
Quiz Night & Raffle - 13th June at the Kings Head, Bishops Cleeve
Cycle to St Andrew's (Birmingham City FC home ground) - August, exact date tbc. Circa 60 miles
Cycle to Exmouth - 3rd October. Circa 140 miles
Cycle the distance from Cheltenham to Menorca on a static bike - December. Circa 1200 miles (excluding ferry distances)
All of these things are stuff we used to enjoy doing with our mum, playing Mario Kart, watching the football, playing mini golf on holiday and Exmouth and Menorca were two particularly favourite family holidays for us.
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
