Story

JLL Bristol are running the Great Bristol Run Half-Marathon in support of The MAZI Project.

The MAZI Project is a youth-led charity empowering disadvantaged 16-25 year olds through food

Their mission is to create a city where fresh, nutritious and sustainable food is accessible to all.

The MAZI Project works together with Bristol’s independent food sector, local community and partner charities we create an inclusive environment for vulnerable young people to experience the power of food and feel part of Bristol’s thriving community.

The MAZI Project use the dinner table and the notion of breaking bread to help reduce isolation, build confidence and make those in need feel cared for and extraordinary.

The MAZI Project was founded in response to the Free School Meal Scandal in January 2021. Following the uproar against the food hampers provided by the government to families in need around the country, our founder, Melanie channelled her anger and decided to take action. Check out her blog post on the beginnings of the organisation.
