I’m proud to be running my first marathon to raise as much as possible for Daisy’s Dream, an inspirational and essential charity that supports children and families affected by life-threatening illness or bereavement.

I’ve spent years telling myself and others that I’d love to run a marathon, but I’ve never made the commitment…until now. I’m really excited to have this opportunity to prove to myself (and my knees) that I can do this, but I know I’ve got plenty of training ahead of me, so your support will genuinely help motivate me. The opportunity to spend many training hours listening to noisy music won’t hurt, either.

Each year Daisy's Dream support over 700 people and young people through their bereavement. Whether they are facing the death of someone they love or have already experienced loss, Daisy’s Dream’s professionally-qualified Therapeutic Practitioners are on hand to offer families the support and guidance they need.

All their work is provided to families completely free of charge, but in order to do so, Daisy's Dream need to raise over £500,000 a year to cover costs.

This is where you come in. Every pound you give will allow Daisy’s Dream to support families when they need them the most.
