Cycle Europe for Polish hospices 2024 · 7 July 2024 to 14 July 2024 ·

1,000km across Eastern Europe by bike to provide medical equipment and support for terminally ill patients and their families in Poland.

Story

This summer I am cycling 1,000km across Europe, from Prague to Krakow, to raise money and deliver equipment for local hospices in Poland. I am covering the costs of the ride, and the Alina Foundation's trustees cover all admin expenses, so your donation is used entirely to support patients and families.

I have taken part in Cycle Poland 7 times if you include the times we have had our own "local" events. Discovering this initiative in 2014 just before my 30th birthday has had a massively positive impact on my own life - I have made lifelong friends, got fitter, developed a love/hate relationship with cycling, seen more of Poland than I have of the UK and been continually humbled by the amazing work of the hospice staff and volunteers that we meet on these trips.

This time around I will turn 40 during the ride, and I cannot think of a better way to spend my 40th birthday than chasing a bunch of cyclists who are much fitter than me! Happy to consider any donations as a birthday present 😉

Don't be fooled by the proportion of my social media pictures (most posted by the Alina Foundation) showing me cycling. I don't cycle that much and this will be a genuine challenge!

I'm grateful for any donation, however small. Because the trustees cover admin, and I cover the travel and accomodation everything you donate goes directly towards buying medical equipment for underfunded Polish hospices.

I'm putting my money where my mouth is too - Top Marks Bidding will be one of the corporate sponsors of the event 🙂

Thank you for your support!
