Please read a little bit about Connie's story below from her mum, Jacqui.

"Connie Rose was my beautiful, loving, and happy 18-month-old daughter. We lost her in August 2024 after she became seriously unwell with the RSV virus. What followed was every parent’s worst nightmare. Connie suffered a cardiac arrest while in hospital at QA and was later transferred to Southampton Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

She was placed into an induced coma and faced many complications. Despite everything, our little girl suffered devastating brain damage and became our angel. Connie is missed more than words can ever explain. Her Daddy, her two brothers, and I miss her every single day and mourn the loss of our beautiful little girl.

After Connie passed, we were given a memory box. Inside were things we will treasure forever — her handprints and precious keepsakes, for which we are forever grateful."

In Connie’s memory, I am raising money for 4Louis, a charity that supports bereaved parents and families. This charity is incredibly close to my heart, not only because of Connie, but because I also lost my own little boy, Teddy. I know firsthand how much comfort these memory boxes bring in the darkest moments.

All money raised will go towards donating memory boxes in Connie’s name, helping other families create memories they will hold onto forever.

To honour Connie, I will be taking on two challenges:

• Southampton ABP Half Marathon – 3rd May

• Tough Mudder – 9th May
