Story
Nick and Dan are attempting to run the complete length of the Cotswold way. A gruelling 107 miles from Chipping Campden to Bath! Running over 34 miles a day and including over 4000m of ascent.
Many months ago, we decided we wanted to get together and complete a challenge that would reflect some of the discomfort and hardship that bowel cancer sufferers go through each and every day.
The bowel movement was founded in memory of my loving brother in law Benj, who unfortunately lost his personal battle with the disease.
Each year over 2600 young individuals are diagnosed with bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and accounts for the second highest number of cancer related deaths per year. We know that early detection and diagnosis is vital, and that bowel cancer is highly treatable and even curable if caught early.
The Bowel Movement seeks to educate people about the key signs and symptoms of bowel and colorectal cancers to ensure that every individual faced with bowel cancer has the best possible chance of survival.
Appreciate any support, words of encouragement or donations you feel you can give towards this fantastic cause.
