Following numerous people asking if we are doing this for charity we thought, why waste the opportunity to raise money for a good cause. If you have been sent this link then please don’t feel pressured to donate but if you are feeling generous thank you and be assured that all of the money will be going to a great charity.

Three friends, Dan, Nik and Rich are cycling Lands End to John O’Groats (LEJOG). As friends since age 4, we have all been keen cyclists since childhood so planned this as a holiday (yes, madness) without realising just how much training and organising it would take. Since a post Christmas realisation that it was only 12 weeks away we have completed 160 training rides between us covering over 4300 miles and 65000m of ascent.

On Friday 28th March 2025 we (two 50 year olds and me, still in my 40’s 😀) are driving down to Cornwall to set off on the 1000 miles covering the length of Britain. Carrying all our own kit and booking accommodation as we go, we aim to complete it in under 10 days (100+ miles per day) so we can meet another friend for a lift home at the other end (thanks David Foers, www.ibexvehicles.com). We will be carrying an apple AirTag so if anyone wants to track our progress then we can share the live traker info and we will post notes on our progress here as we go.

As we have done nothing but cycle and talk about cycling for the last 12 weeks, many people have asked which charity we are collecting for. So as I started off saying, we decided not to waste the opportunity to raise some money.

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
