Dan Prevett is raising money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity
Story
Sands is our workplace charity at the Financial Ombudsman Service and I couldn't be more motivated to give something back and support this great cause in 2025.
In May, we'll be hiking Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) through the night - reaching the summit in time to see the dawn across Snowdonia National Park.
As a team, we'll be:
- Trekking for approx. 8 hours continuously.
- Covering 21km of undulating terrain, with the added challenge of walking through the night!
- Ascending a total of approx. 975m in a single night.
- Supporting each and every team member to get through the challenge.
As part of my training I'll be trekking around the Brecon Beacons in April. I'll aim to share the progress as I go.
There'll be several colleagues at the Ombudsman taking part in the event so with that in mind:
- If you know me from outside of the Service I'd be grateful if you could spare a tenner or so (plus Gift Aid!) towards my goal.
- If you know me as a work colleague, then please consider supporting me or one of our other colleagues taking part - it all counts!
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
