Story
I'm running the Norfolk Marathon in April 2025 in aid of Age UK Norwich!
To mark their 80th year, the charity are aiming to raise £80,000 to continue their life-changing work, and I’m determined to help them reach this goal by suffering the 26.2 Miles / 42.2 Kms / 55,000 steps.
My last marathon was in 2013 in London, and I vowed "never again", but to quote James Bond - never say never again! It was also the last time I fundraised in aid of a charity.
I volunteered at the inaugural Norfolk Marathon last year and got the itch to have another go - so please help me through my winter training by knowing I have your support, and helping me raise money towards their £80K target. Every donation, big or small, helps - and don't forget Gift Aid!
As part of the Age UK Norwich staff team, I get to see everyday the enormous impact the charity has on people's lives. We're not funded by the government, the DWP or a national franchise. We're an independent charity in Norwich, Norfolk, and have to raise our own funds to exist. The more we raise, the more people we can help.
The health and living conditions of older people in Norwich and Norfolk is in decline and demand for our services has risen year-on-year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cost of living crisis and declining public services. In the same period, funding has been cut.
Your ££ will help change lives, and make Norwich an Age Friendly City.
Thank you for your support!
