Since 1885, thanks to the public's support, SSAFA continues to provide welfare and wellbeing assistance tailored to our Armed Forces community. They know and understand the unique demands of service life, whether in the UK or overseas, and in times of need, they help to enable the Forces family to thrive.

Welcome to my brave and adventurous journey as I take on the solo canoe challenge, paddling through the untamed waters of the breathtaking Hess River in the rugged wilderness of the Yukon Territory, Canada. My mission is not just a test of endurance, strength, and determination, but a mission with a noble goal - to support a cause that's near and dear to my heart.

I'm undertaking this exhilarating adventure in support of SSAFA - the Armed Forces charity, also known as Soldiers', Sailors' & Airmen's Families Association. They provide lifelong support to our Forces and their families, and it's my honor to contribute to their incredible work.

I'll be facing the threat of bears, countless white water rapids,enduring clouds of mosquitoes and unpredictable elements, but knowing that every stroke of my paddle contributes to SSAFA's outstanding cause, makes it all worth it. I invite you to join me in my journey, to share the exciting moments, the challenges, and to support SSAFA along the way. Let's make a difference - paddle by paddle, mile by mile - together.
