Memorial Gig

Family members try and do all they can to support someone with an alcohol or drug problem. There are many people in Scotland who are doing this on their own and in silence. Your donations will help us to continue our work supporting families across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page is in memory of my best mate, Lewis Scougall.

Our friendship came about through our love for music, more specifically live music. When we lived together we often discussed big plans for starting a promotions company and putting on our own live events.

Unfortunately, we never got the opportunity to bring those ideas to life, so I decided to put on a gig in memooory of Lewis.

A huge thank you to the bands who played, Skelp, STRAid, Bandit Country and guevara for putting on a great night.

Please donate if you can.

Like many teenagers and adults, Lewis had his struggles in life. Our aim is to raise funds for causes that support people like Lewis. To help support and bring learning to families with loved ones that are vulnerable or in need.

Mental health, drugs & alcohol misuse can become a major issue in today’s society, and we hope with our efforts we can make a difference in supporting the challenges families face in today’s world by raising funds for our specified charity: Scottish Families Affected by Drugs & Alcohol (SFAD)

Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs is a national charity that supports anyone concerned about someone else’s alcohol or drug use in Scotland. We give listening support and information to many people and help them with confidence, communication, general wellbeing, and we link them into local support. We also help people recognize and understand the importance of looking after themselves.
