Knight Frank Schools Triathlon 2026 - Abingdon · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

On Sunday 26th April, around 500 inspiring 7 - 13 year old's are swimming, cycling, running and fundraising to support thousands of young people around the world to deliver life-changing projects in their own communities.

Story

This year we are taking on the really exciting challenge of the Knight Frank schools triathlon. By swimming, cycling and running in a relay with our team, Dancing Queens, we are raising money for Restless Development to help to try and contribute to the huge difference they make.

Restless Development is a global charity that is all about youth-led change. They work with young people in their communities to ensure they have the support, tools and opportunities to change their futures. Be that setting up their own local business, helping girls stay in school or taking action on climate change.

Restless Development started in 1985 (when it was known as SPW), it was the brainchild of Jim Cogan, a teacher at Westminster School. He believed that when you gave young people the chance to lead development they could have incredible lasting results. Restless Development no longer organise gap years, but they still work with phenomenal young people all around the world.

Today they are a network of locally run youth organisations in 9 countries and a network of more than 5000 youth led organisations sign-up to the Youth Collective. Restless Development provides training, mentorship, and resources, to young people to lead and take action and they have reached 10 million young people to date.

Here’s a breakdown of what our fundraising, and your sponsorship, can achieve at Restless Development:

£5 - provide a child a solar-powered backpack that lights up their way home and helps them do homework at night.

£20 - cover the printing and distribution of resource packs for climate change education for two young people

£30 - Gives 15 children a set of colourful exercise books so they can write stories, do sums, and learn to read.

£40 - Plants 40 trees in a schoolyard to help teach children about nature and climate change.

£60 - Gives a girl the support she needs for one full school term including school supplies and uniform.
