Story

🏔️ Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for the Neuro Muscular Centre

In Loving Memory of Kevin Hepburn (9th April 1954 – 8th February 2023)

On Saturday 16th August 2025, me and a few friends are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Neuro Muscular Centre (NMC) — and to raise awareness for the condition that my dad lived with.

Kevin Hepburn, my dad, was born on 9th April 1954 and passed away on 8th February 2023 after a long battle with a rare

muscular myopathy. This challenge is a way for me to honour his memory and contribute to a charity that helped him and many others.

The Neuro Muscular Centre provides specialist physiotherapy, support, and a real sense of community for people with neuromuscular conditions — and they rely on fundraising to keep doing what they do.

We’ll be walking 24 miles across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with over 5,000 feet of climbing — all within 12 hours.

We don’t have a fixed target, but we’d love to raise between £500 and £1,000 to support the work the NMC does.

Please consider donating or sharing this page. Any support is massively appreciated.

Thank you.

— Dan Hepburn.
