Story
This September, I'm will be trekking 150 miles throughout the month, raising money for Saving Strays, a charity that gives dogs who have been abandoned, neglected and forgotten a chance of the life they deserve.
This fundraiser is especially personal to me because of Fox.
Fox is our rescue dog, and seeing him settle into a life filled with safety, comfort and love has made me think about all the other dogs who are still waiting for that same chance. Dogs who don't yet have a warm bed, a full bowl, someone to comfort them when they're scared, or a family to call their own.
Saving Strays works tirelessly to change those lives.
So, throughout September, I'll be walking 150 miles for them.
But I wanted this challenge to become harder as the month goes on, because rescue is not always an easy journey. Every day, I will add an extra 1 kg of weight to my backpack.
Day by day, the weight will increase.
The miles will become harder.
And hopefully, with every difficult step, we can raise a little more money for the dogs who have already carried far more than they ever should have.
There will be sore feet, tired legs and days when that backpack feels far too heavy. But then I'll think about why I'm doing it.
I'll think about Fox and I'll think about all the dogs still waiting for someone to give them their second chance. 🐶❤️
If you can donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Every pound raised will help Saving Strays continue the incredible work they do and give more dogs the chance to go from simply surviving to finally being safe, loved and home.
150 miles. Increasing weight. One step at a time.
For Fox.
For Saving Strays.
For every dog still waiting to be found. 🐾❤️
Thank you so much for supporting me and, most importantly, supporting these incredible dogs
