Story

I'm diving into the deep end by taking on the London-Essex 100-mile ride on Sunday 28th May 2024, even though I'm pretty green when it comes to biking and have never done anything like this before. A massive shout out to Active Essex for giving me this chance to raise some cash for their awesome foundation!

Dont know much about The Active Essex Foundation ... well let me give you a brief insight. The Foundations mission is all about getting people moving and feeling great. The team are focuses on reducing the inequalities in Essex that prevent fair access to physical activity and sport by empowering disadvantaged communities and changing lives.

And here's the kicker: not only will your donations go to the Active Essex Foundation, but I'm doubling down! For every £ you throw in, I'll match it and donate to the Alzheimer's Society. This cause hits close to home for me because I see first hand the irreversible changes it is having on my amazing Nan Lilan, who is currently battling Dementia.

Seeing how tough the disease can be has lit a fire under me. I'm hoping that by pedaling my heart out and raising some £, I can make a small dent in to help find a cure and make life a little easier for those dealing with this awful disease.

So, here's to rolling up our sleeves, hitting the road, and making a real difference – one mile at a time!
