Story
This summer, I’ll be taking on another personal challenge—attempting to swim to the bottom of a 40-metre-deep pool in Poland on a single breath.
I’m doing this through my job at KFH to raise money for London Youth, supporting young people across the city.
One in three young people in London live in poverty. The cost-of-living crisis, combined with a lack of opportunity, is pushing them to the margins. The emotional toll on their mental health and wellbeing has never been greater. At a time when they need support the most, youth services in the capital are under threat – and the safety nets that should catch them are wearing thin. They only get one chance at growing up.
Youth work gives young people hope. It’s not just about having fun – it can open doors to a better future, and for some children, it’s a lifeline. It helps build confidence, creates purpose, and offers a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and supported.
Together, we can ensure young people have someone to trust, something to do and somewhere to go.
