In September, I will be partaking in the Isle of Man End to End race, which is a 39.2miles (or 63km) walk to be done within 10.5hrs, from the top of the Island to the bottom.

I am hoping to raise some money for Mercy Isle of Man, which is a Christian mental health charity, and does some amazing work in helping those who are struggling with their mental health, in whatever form that takes. Their motto is "live free, stay free" (www.mercyiom.im).

I have experienced their help first hand as, in 2024, I was able to face, and overcome, feelings of fear and failure that had plagued me for many years. The freedom that I feel now cannot be fully expressed. I am doing things that the past me would never have believed possible because of the amount of fear, doubt, self-criticism and disbelief I had. It's a journey that I am still walking, but Mercy gave me the tools to help me to continue to live in that freedom. Even this walking challenging is making me put into practice things I have learnt!!
