For as long as I can remember my dad was a victim of severe rheumatoid arthritis, before his premature death in 2017 aged just 53.

This cruel disease currently has no permanent cure. It attacks your joints, limits your physical capabilities and greatly reduces your overall standard of living. Millions of people worldwide with rheumatoid arthritis will wake up tomorrow and experience another day of pain and struggle.

To commemorate what would have been my dad's 60th birthday in July, I'll be running my first half marathon on October 1st. And hopefully also raising some money for Versus Arthritis so they can continue to invest in research, treatments, and support those affected.
