Biking to Brighton - Dan's Refugee Week Fundraiser

Daniel D'cruz is raising money for Migrant Help

London to Brighton Bike Ride June 2026 · 21 June 2026 ·

We exist to protect people affected by displacement and exploitation, helping them thrive as individuals and recover from their trauma. We support those most in need and least likely to find support elsewhere, whilst aiming to bridge community gaps and bring services and support together.

Story

Hi! I'm Dan and I've entered the London to Brighton bike ride to raise funds for Migrant Help

Actually, that's not quite accurate....I originally entered purely for fun! But, when I noticed that the event is taking place during Refugee Week, I got to thinking it's the perfect opportunity to raise both awareness and funds for a cause I care deeply about.

My job involves helping new refugees start their new lives in the UK after a successful asylum claim. It's by no means an easy process - made all the more difficult by language barriers, the housing crisis and a society that isn't as welcoming as I would like it to be.

Migrant Help are a charity that offer a range of fantastic services to people that have sought sanctuary in the UK. Your donation will help fund their amazing work - from the provision of specialist support to victims of modern slavery to simple acts of kindness, like ensuring that children in the asylum system get a present at Christmas time.

Thank you for your support :)
